About
Hello & Welcome!
My name is Amber; I'm a wife of 11 years and a mom of three boys, two dogs, and one foster cat. That's it. This blog is about me setting goals and making choices that serve me.
I know, I know. I sound so selfish and self absorbed. Maybe to you I am, but lets look at it from my point of view. For years I have been miserable. I have been perpetually angry, depressed, desperate for belonging and acceptance, discontented. I haven't been a great mom; I haven't been a good wife. I have been miserable because I'm not living my best life despite having everything I need to create it.
Why can't I live my best life? Because I have had no vision of what I want that life to be. I've been convinced that in order to live your best life, you had to know with 100% certainty and clarity what that life entailed. I'm not sure when the aha! moment occurred, but I learned that living your best life isn't about having it all figured out, its about making the conscious effort to keep trying.
So that's what I'm doing. I'm leading my best life by making small choices that curate the life that I want to lead. If that leads to mediocrity and loss, or if that leads to great things, I'm still game either way. From this point on I choose my happiness.
